Every story starts somewhere. Ours started with a wedding — my own — and a realization that changed the way I think about celebrations forever.

Planning my own wedding taught me something no amount of Pinterest boards could: the stress of it all doesn't just eat your time, it eats your presence. I was so busy managing vendors, timelines, and a hundred small decisions that I almost missed the chance to actually live in the moments I'd spent months dreaming about. That feeling of a bride too exhausted to embrace her own day, stayed with me long after the wedding ended.

Around the same time, friends started asking me to help plan theirs. And somewhere in doing that, a vision started forming: weddings shouldn't feel like a template. They should feel deeply personal, truly yours — down to the smallest detail. Every guest should be able to walk in and feel the story being told, not just watch an event unfold.

That's the belief Backdrop by Sakshi is built on. We exist so that a bride/groom doesn't have to choose between a beautifully planned day and actually being present for it. So that the stress stays with us - the coordination, the problem-solving, the hundred small decisions - and the joy stays with you.
